Mirococept在免疫系统相关的多种细胞环境中均能发挥效用，尤其在树突状细胞、B 淋巴细胞等免疫细胞表面有着较高的亲和结合位点。当机体的免疫反应被激活时，Mirococept 能够迅速且特异性地与关键免疫调节因子 CD40 配体（CD40L）紧密结合，进而阻断 CD40L 与细胞表面天然 CD40 受体的相互作用，有效抑制 CD40 介导的免疫激活信号传导通路。在诸多临床前研究和实验中发现，Mirococept 能够显著降低多种自身免疫性疾病动物模型的免疫过激反应指标，例如在系统性红斑狼疮模型中，它可明显减轻蛋白尿、皮肤红斑以及关节炎症等症状；在类风湿性关节炎的研究里，它同样表现出对炎症发作的有效抑制，降低关节的肿胀程度与疼痛敏感性，这充分表明 Mirococept 在免疫相关疾病的发病机制研究以及新型免疫调节药物研发领域具备极高的研究价值 。
