ALK1 是 TGFβ超家族的 1 型受体，选择性表达于内皮细胞，与其配体 BMP9 和 BMP10 结合，ALK1/BMP9 信号促进血管稳定成熟，这是 VEGF 驱动血管生成增殖的后期事件。Dalantercept 是 ALK1 受体 -Fc 融合蛋白，与 BMP9 和 BMP10 高亲和力，成为配体陷阱，它抑制血管细胞成熟，削弱 VEGF-A 和碱性成纤维细胞生长因子的作用，后二者无论体内还是体外都会刺激血管生成。
