CC趋化因子受体8（CCR8）主要在淋巴组织中表达，也在肾小球足细胞和人脐静脉内皮细胞（HUVECs）中发现。CCR8与Th2淋巴细胞相关，这些细胞对过敏反应至关重要，并且在淋巴细胞的激活、迁移、增殖和分化以及过敏性疾病中发挥作用。CCR8结合到CCL1（也称为I-309）和CCL16（也称为肝脏表达趋化因子）。它还对三种病毒来源的趋化因子具有高亲和力：vMIP-I、vMIP-II和vMCC-I。
